Mdina Knights - the beginning
Mdina Knights FC - an idea germinated by the founding members
Gilbert Camilleri; Matthew Paris; Keith Galea and Sean Buhagiar . Their flair
for sports and their ambition to participate within the administrative side of
local football, has created a football club which represents Malta's former
Capital city. Their vision to create a professional structure has materialised,
proof of this being the overwhelming support by commercial affiliates and the
hefty amount of subscribing members, which in turn translates to a fortified
vote in favor for such initiative.
Mdina Knights FC (MKFC) was officially recognized by the Malta
Football Association (MFA) by a decree dated May 25th 2006, and has for the
past four seasons participated with great success in the third (3rd) division
championship,. After narrowly missing out on a play off place in season
2007/08, the Club experienced the heartbreak of losing in the play-off
semi-finals twice in successive seasons to the eventual play-off winners.

The

by implementing a sound corporate structure and a statute, which governs the
members behaviour. The committee feels that mounting a decent environment
between policy-setters and makers is of paramount importance. Such rapport
would ignite motivation and hence inspire all the key stakeholders to perform
with due diligence and enthusiasm.
Strategic Intent
"to promote football activities as an educational event and as a means of self-development".
